I write to you as I think so many people complain when things go wrong, but few let you know when your Company gives exemplary service.
We had visited three well-known travel agents to try to organise our round the world trip. All three had given us excuses for why we couldn't do what we wanted or such outrageous fares that we had gone off the idea of round the world and were going to opt for three separate trips.
We found your site on the internet and visited Sanjay. He gave us quite exceptional service, came up with answers to problems and made suggestions to make our trip much easier. We travel a lot and speak to many travel agents, but I can say without a shadow of doubt that Sanjay gave us the best service we have had. We shall recommend him (and your company, of course) to our friends and we will certainly visit you in future.
In appreciation,
Carole McPhee and Professor Bob Nobay, UK August 2010 |

Hi Geoff, well that's our travels over now, its back to reality for us. I just wanted to email and say a huge thank you to you for making everything so easy and putting up with all our phone calls and emails about visas, flight changes etc. We had an unbelievable time on our round the world adventure. I've already recommended you to loads of friends, a few have also booked their tickets with the company and are really impressed. I'll definately be booking with you in the future, i just need to start saving the pennies again!
Thanks for everything.

| Jarvis, hello & good morning.
Well, as you can see I am back home and back at my desk after an unbelievable trip around the world, it's hard to believe my 5-and-a-half- month is over. Having said that it felt as though I was away for ages, for as things were winding up in West Africa, Mexico seemed so long ago and so far away. There were many highlights including: Mexico, Guatemala, Patagonia, Rio, Easter Island, the Great Barrier Reef, Bali, Myanmar, and Mali. As for the low-lights there weren't any except Venezuela, which was disappointing in a number of ways before the robbery of my camera and ipod. As you can imagine I took an obscene amount of photos to remind me in my dotage that I did in fact go right 'round the world! So thanks for all your help in making my trip possible, all my flights and connections etc went smoothly and without a hitch. If I know of anyone else making plans for such a trip I will certainly recommend you and point them in your direction.
Best regards & good luck,
Paul, July 2010

Dear James,
I shall not miss to thank you for being so helpful with booking my trip from November 2009 until March 2010.
Everything went very nice and the coordination of the flights was perfect. I told about roundtheworldflights.com to all my friends and I hope they will purchase their tickets in your office too. The only place on my trip I really did not enjoy was Rarotonga. I had too much expectations on this island, but it was so different as I thought. Well, the rest of my trip was great. The highlights were Cambodia, Borneo and Australia. Perfect. Interesting, Exciting!
I wish you a nice summer and later this year (fall) I would lilke to contact you again about a ticket to South America.
Meanwhile the best regards
Christine Germany, July 2010 |

Hi Stuart and Jarvis
It has been a couple of weeks since we came back from our trip around the world. We had a fabulous time with one week in California, one in Japan and one in Maldives. And we managed with carry-on luggage only (which included much used snorkels and masks for the Maldives).
Thank you for your help with the planning and support in the run up. It was reassuring to know that you were there to back us up of there were difficulties, but there were none. Everything went to clockwork. The skies cleared of ash three days before we left, and we landed back in Heathrow just a few hours before it shut (albeit briefly) again. This was the first time we have flown with Singapore airline, and they were great, the best airline experienced by either of us.
If there were any things we would change for the future they are few. Two come to mind. One would be to explore flying out of Exeter Airport (our local) to a hub to start the enterprise, rather than having to travel up to London and back. We did not think of this as an option at the time, but for our next RTW...... The other would have been the arrival and departure times in the Maldives. They could have been more hospitable, but I know that Singapore have limited links to Male.
If you need a recommendation of a romantic retreat in the Maldives then komandoo.com would take some beating.
Overall we had a brilliant time. Please accept our thanks and pass on to others who may also have contributed.
Thanks again

Dear Stuart
I would like to formally acknowledge the help and support that Geoff
has provided during what I am sure you will agree has been a very
trying time. We were due to leave last weekend on a holiday that we
had to put on hold last year due to unforeseen circumstances. The
events of last week left us disappointed like thousands of others but
unlike many others we had Geoff keeping us advised and trying at every
stage to sort things out. I have heard numerous complaints about
travel agents/ tour operators but we have received a superior service
from Geoff and felt that you should know. Give that man a pay rise -
he has been a star !
Kindest regards

Hi Sanjay,
Just returned from our trip and thought I'd drop you a quick note to say
everything went very well with our flights and the airline managed not to lose
our luggage for once. Probably be in touch in a year or so to plan for 2012.
Thanks very much,
Dave (UK April 2010)
Dear Jarvis
Just to let you know the whole trip went off without any complications
and all flights were perfectly arranged. Thank you for all your help
and would certainly love to do it again in 2011.

Hi James,
Thanks Muchly. Like I said on the phone, thanks for your advice this
morning, it was really helpful and I'm a lot happier! Kind regards,

Thanks Geoff
Managed to grab a last minute seat on the first flight out of Tokyo
yesterday. Thanks very much for all of your help with our trip. We had
a fantastic time and will certainly be using you in the future for our
travels.

Hi Geoff
It's Shlomi from Israel again, I guess that you still remember me
after so much letters. I just want to let you know that I ready to
start the trip, next month I'm on a flight to Europe. So the reason
that I write to you is to thank you about all your help, and all your
time that you dedicated - I know that I wasn't a normal customer.
Thanks for everything and I will be in touch soon.
Shlomi, Israel March 2010
Malcolm,
We are recently returned from the round-the-world trip you organised
for us, and are writing you a note to let you know that everything
worked out fine for us.
The flights, the transfers and the hotels were all excellent thank you
and as a result we both much enjoyed our circumnavigation of the
earth, particularly the strange experience of crossing the
International date line and having one day (from Fiji to LA) last for
nearly 48 hours. It all started very well on our first leg with the
flight to Singapore and being met by a courier bearing our name on a
board, ready to take us to an excellent hotel. It carried on in this
vein for some 8 weeks!
Many thanks for your helpful nature during our booking time with you
and the very professional manner in which you organised such a
splendid holiday for us.
Best wishes and kind regards,
Ann and Graham, UK March 2010
Hi Sanjay ,

advise , the Atacama desert and Bolivian Salt Lake were awesome !!!!

Thank you for your help with my trip last year. Everything went smoothly and I had
the most wonderful time. Wishing you all the best for 2010.

Hello Malcolm, we are now back at home and just feel like saying
thanks for your contribution to a very successful and exciting trip for us over
sixties that went like clockwork with no hotel or plane issues whatsoever.
Regards Andrew and Carol Seall, January 2010

Hi Malcolm,
Just is to let you know that everything went smoothly with all our flights and we
enjoyed the Red Centre Tour from Uluru to Alice Springs very much, especially as
my wife did not run into any snakes! This e-ticket is extremely handy, buzzing though
check-in on your passport. Big compliments for Steve, our guide from Connections,
who ensured we had a great time in the desert. Thanks for your and your colleagues'
help in organizing this trip. We had a great time all the time! All the best for
2010!
Heike & Graham, UK January 2010
PS: As soon as we have saved enough again, we will be back!
We bought a round the world ticket with roundtheworldflights.com
very nice people (thanks Jarvis) and very good price. We did Geneva, London, San
Francisco, Los Angeles, Tahiti, Auckland, Christchurch, Hong Kong, London, Geneva.
All flexible. In Tahiti we bought internal flights to Moorea, Bora Bora and Huahine

your help – I will certainly be recommending your name and company to everyone
I know who is looking to travel around the world. I have been very impressed

Hi Charlie
You sir, are a star....Next time someone books me to sing in Nz or Australia, I'll
be in
touch! Shouldn't be too long hopefully.
All best
Paul, UK July 2009
I wanted to send you this quick e-mail to let you know that Geoff has provided me
with fantastic service like I haven't received in a very long time (and I've booked
lots of holidays and plane tickets over the last few years). I'm extremely impressed
by his professionalism and how quickly and efficiently he has responded to my e-mails,
telephone calls and numerous queries along with many changes of itineraries.
To be honest, I was so wrapped by the service that Geoff gave me to book 2 return
tickets to Australia with internal flights for my honeymoon that I asked him to
book my parents business class tickets to Australia also with internal flights as
they were also planning a trip there. I'm extremely enthused by Geoff's professionalism,
his great service, finding itineraries and prices that other travel agents who I
contacted could not beat or find.
As I said, I don't usually send e-mails like this and like most, I'm a pretty busy
person, but I was so happy and impressed with the way Geoff dealt with our bookings
that I wanted to make sure you knew how wrapped I was to deal with such an efficient,
friendly and competent person.
Kind regards,
Johanna - London July 09

Hi James,
Thank you for your prompt reply. Just want to say a big thank you for arranging
such a good holiday, and how impressed we were with the accommodation and the organisation
of the whole trip. We will definitely recommend you to friends. Thank you once again
Regards Lyn and Liz June 09.
Charlie,
Thanks for the information and assistance.
However, once again I really do appreciate the efforts Global Village make in delivering
a first class service. It means that I will keep on booking my annual RTW flight
through your firm!
Thanks again
Paul, Hong Kong May 2009

Hi Stuart
Thanks a lot for making those changes hopefully we won't have to make any more -
but who knows what the future holds. We are really impressed with your service and
we are thoroughly enjoying our world trip.
Best wishes Ian and Pam - Australia May 2009
Thanks Sanjay, you are really great at what you do mate!
What a difference it makes to a world traveller to have an agent he can trust in.
All the best for your endeavours too.
Cheers,
Lee on an RTW in April 09
Dear Simon
I wanted to send you an email to thank you for your help in arranging the RTW trip
we booked with you late last year. We arrived back home yesterday having had a fantastic
time and absolutely no problems with any of the flights. It was great from our point
of view to be able to arrange such a bespoke trip for our desired route and time,
and at what I think was a very reasonable price. I will certainly be advising you
to others and will consider using your company again in future.
Kind regards
Alex, UK April 09
Hi Stuart
In terms of RTW tips here are a few:
In Australia and NZ:: standbycars.com - free cars and campers to get around the
country
In NZ recommend doing the 'adrenalin sports' type things anywhere except Queenstown
if possible - it's cheaper. Also, any treks they do there, the walking duration
for the treks they advertise is hugely inflated if you are in good shape. The one
we did was advertised as either 2-3 days or even 3-4 days in one place. We did it
in just over one.
Thailand - all the main islands you hear about that are the gorgeous ones are all
completely tourist packed, recommend going to places you have never heard of and
have never heard anyone else talking about. If you do a trek and can afford it I
hugely recommend hiring a private guide, we did a 4 day trek with one and we actually
got to trek and get away from tourists (something very hard to do in Thailand) for
3 straight days and saw and did tons.
If they go see the tigers, I recommend planning in advance and taking a bunch of
cash and paying the extra to do the private time with them where you get to play
with the cubs etc in the morning. The floating markets are a hell hole and so touristy
they have no authentic feel to them at all and are a waste of breath.
Heading up to Chaing Mai is definitely worth it and a nice break from Bangkok. It's
still a city but so much different a feel to Bangkok.
Heading over to Cambodia while in Thailand and going to Angkor Wat is also definitely
worth it. Going to see all the temples is definitely something unique - recommend
HUGELY that they rent a bike and cycle there and then around as there are several
km's between each temple.
India just jump on the trains, get 2nd class sleeper and explore all over the country.
Going up to Rishikesh is a GREAT break if you start to feel a bit too drowned with
India - it gives you a lot more westerners, restaurants etc and is nice.
Nila, Still in India, April 2009
Hiya Sanjay – I’m just emailing today a massive thank you for all your
help putting together my trip. I got back to the UK last week after a fantastic
time seeing China, Mongolia and Russia. Everything worked out like clockwork and
the guides I met did a superb job. Overall I couldn’t have asked for better
service.
Cheers Joel UK April 2009
Hi Charlie
And that's why I keep coming back to you! Competent in the extreme...
That's excellent, thanks so much for sorting it all out so well. As usual!

Hi Charlie
My RTW trip is going brilliantly so far and just up at Airlie Beach in Australia
at the moment! It certainly makes saving all this time worth while!
Cheers
Richard (Australia April 2009)
Hi Stuart
It's what I thought - but I wanted confirmation.
I have been able to reroute at the local Air New Zealand counter.
Thanks very much for all the help you've provided before and during our trip!
Take care.
Cecile (NZ April 2009)
Hi Charlie,
Firstly, thank you for your patience and your assistance.
We will definately recommend your website to our family and friends,
you have really been a great help!!!
Thank you Charlie!
Kind Regards,
Anja and Andrea Buettgen (RTW March 2009)
Charlie - just a note regarding the gorilla trek. It was absolutely brilliant and
I cannot recommend it highly enough. Everything worked well, the transport and meals
were good, the guide/leader was excellent, the group worked well (mostly young Aussies
and Kiwis- what's not to work!), the beer and gin was cheap, the campsites superb
(especially lake Bunyoni) and the gorillas participated brilliantly. Looking forward
to another adventure next year.
Kind regards

Dear James We spent August last year travelling with you through Russia, Siberia
and Mongolia to Beijing. We are writing, somewhat belatedly, to thank you for the
experience. We had an amazing and thoroughly enjoyable time which almost completely
went according to plan. We appreciated the reassurance of being met at and escorted
to stations, and very much va lued the personal service of local guides. Our home
stays were comfortable, varied and provided an important insight into the local
way of life. Meeting local people was a very important part of the experience. We
passed through some beautiful country and now have a better understanding of the
world in which we live. The white water rafting was particularly enjoyable, despite
my initial misgivings, and was just thrilling enough for my husband while I was
satisfied by not capsizing! Our only complaint was with the weather which was beyond
your control! The whole of northern Europe had a cool and damp August. One tip we
would ask you to pass on to future travellers is to take plenty of loose change
as well postcards from your country of origin. On several occasions we could have
done with more to exchange with interested people we met – from railway engineers
and police to priests. Please give our thanks to your local teams and guides who
made our holiday an experience never to be forgotten. Specifically we would like
to send our best wishes to our guide in Mongolia who was thrown from her horse while
we were out trekking.
We have recommended you to all who have enquired about our holiday.
Regards,
Eileen and Martin Bigg

Hey James! Henry here at the tail end of a trip that can only be described
as breathtaking, thanks in no small part to your good self and Global Village. We
have had no snags or anything remotely adverse and we are a weekend in Buenos Aires
away from rejoining reality and facing the financial conseqences of our actions!
Thanks again for you time, you´ve been excellent and both me and Michelle
can´t say enough good things about Global Village and roundtheworldflights.com.
Warmest Regards,
Henry, UK April 2008
Dear all at roundtheworldflights.com, Thank you all for a superb Escapade round
the world ticket. It was great magic. I'd highly recommend Borneo, Australia and
New Zealand. Also the Cook Islands was fun too. Thank you again, especially James,

Jane Litvov, Kent - January 2008
I just wanted to write a quick email to express how impressed I have been with the
service myself and my friend have received from Global Village. Since we first contacted
you back in January the people we have dealt with have been nothing but friendly
and helpful. In particular, James has answered many queries and been overly
helpful many times, always replying to emails quickly and efficiently. Whenever
I've phoned up, the guys are always friendly and Simon was also particularly
helpful when I enquired about a stopover in Auckland. Aside from the above,
the price was the best around and the conditions of travel have been a
lot more flexible than anyone else's tickets who I have met while travelling... people
complaining about changing flights are definitely not few and far between out here!
Thanks again and I hope you all have a great Christmas and new year.
Kind regards Christine, Australia November 2007
Hi James - Have been back nearly a month and would like to get on the first plane
out of Heathrow and go off again. Just thought I would send you message to say thank
you as you booked my wonderful trip for me and were so helpful. All I can tell you
is I lived my dreams and lived, loved and appreciated every second of what turned
out to be an epic journey. All my flights were fantastic, it all worked like clockwork.
I still cannot quite believe that
I planned such a trip, have been done it and am now back. It is extremely difficult
trying to get back into "normal life". Needs must though and I have to
start earning some money again (after all, there is still a lot of the world I need
to explore). Once again, thanks for your professional and expert advice and booking
my dream round the world trip.
Sarah. UK Gap Year 2007
Matt was fantastic; he had been to almost all of my intended stops and my note book
was practically full by the time I left the shop!

for all your help and advice with my recent round the world flight booking. Picked

The flights all connected beautifully and I was very grateful for the accommodation
booked in Lima - we landed 2 hours late and it was 1am by ther time we left the
airport - that was one welcome transfer - thanks Matt.

Dear James, Thank You for all your help with my recent Trans Siberian trip. It was
a completely brilliant experience – the world seems a lot bigger now! All
the best,
Jonathan Dove, London E2 (April 2008)
Just a quick email to say thank you to everyone at Global Village for helping us
with our trip to Russia and the Transiberian. It was a journey and a half, and we
had a wonderful time. The trip is not for the faint hearted and at times it can
be quite tough e.g being on a train for four days without a shower and being in
a cabin with a Russian male with very bad body odor however the scenery, the swim
in Lake Baikal, staying in a Mongolian Ger camp and seeing the Great Wall of China
made it all worth while. Thanks for all your help and advice with our trip, you
were fabulous. We also thought of a few travel tips for people for the transiberian,
just a few things you could suggest to people
1. Food to bring along; tuna, cus cus, latte or hot choc mixes for hot drinks, tinned
fruit and , tuna. Pot noodles are unfortunately a must.
2. Other essential items; Anti septic wipes and self dry hand sanitiser. Thongs/Flip
Flops for trips to the loo.
3. Make clients aware that the train between Russia and Mongolia is quite old, also
be prepared for Mongolian Merchants sleeping in your bed when you get on. They dont
have tickets and the carriage attendent is somehow involved with them getting free
beds. You will get your place but you may have to have a little argument with these
people.
4.Book out the whole cabin if possible e.g if there is three of you , book out last
bed as it will be better experience for you especially on the 4 day train leg.
5. Bring a Russian phrase book.
6. The information book from Russian experience should be updated, some information
is old. (We are on this - its out in September - web ed)
7. Bring electronicals e.g DVD players, Ipods, Nintendo DS etc as there are electical
power charges on train and they are long trips.
Sarah Jane, Australian in London (August 2007 - Did an RTW and the Big Trans
Sib with sister and boyfriend)
The Trans-Siberian is one of those rare experiences that entirely lives up to its
hype. Romantic notions of sitting on your bunk staring at the passing Taiga, with
a Tolstoi on your lap and a tea/vodka in your hand are very easily made true. It's
by far the most relaxing, but constantly surprising, journey I've ever made.
Amy from Earls Court did The Big Trans Sib (With St Petes Add on).
The Siberian plains provide a beautiful endless backdrop, as you
have a cup of tea, read a book or, best of all, eat drink and be merry with what
must be one of the most diverse groups of strangers you'll ever meet. Take a Russian
phrase book, a cup and your favourite drinks.
Also take Pot Noodles or better still buy the Russian equivalents, and be proud
as you look out across Siberia and tuck into a lovely hot snack! My Russian cabin
mates lived off them! I could think of more but don't want to be too specific or
waffle, one would be don't get so pissed on vodka you can't climb into your bunk
bed, but that's probably not the image everyone wants!
Ben from Balham did an RTW wth The Big Trans Sib (With St Petes Add on)
Jeremy Head - Travel Journalist and broadcaster did the Trans Sib with us in 2003
(www.jeremyhead.com)
As a travel journo I'm always asked what's the best trip I've ever done. The answer
is easy - the Trans-Sib. It's quite simply unforgettable. I'd do it again at a shot
- amazing scenery, unique experiences, crazy people all washed down with a good
slug of vodka. The trip also got me my first cover feature in The Times. Read the
complete story here:
http://travel.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,26016-1117223,00.html
Jeremy (from Brighton) did The Big Trans Sib.
"I took the Trans-Mongolian
towards the end of winter. I've never been so cold in my life but it gave me an
excellent appreciation of how life really is for the people of Russia and Mongolia.
The time we spent with the nomads in Mongolia was fascinating, and the local people
I met on the train itself taught me more about these cultures than any guidebook
ever will. I'd recommend travelling March-May when there are fewer other Westerners
- just don't forget to pack your thermals!"
Lyn from Australia did The Epic Trans Sib.
Travelling thousands of miles across five time zones by train was an amazing way
to see three great countries, the stopovers in Siberia and Mongolia meant we could
sample the local culture too. It was good to mix with the local people on the train
and I made great friends with fellow travellers in the dining car.
The funniest thing on the trains was the one from Russia to Mongolia where apart
from about 10 of us travellers everybody else (all Mongolian) was smuggling stuff
- they had screwdrivers and stashed clothes, blankets, electrical wire and all sorts
of stuff under every floor and in every ceiling and in every spare bit of space,
even the guards were involved. They tried to stash stuff in our cabins and we had
to give them a stern No before they gave up.
